Launched in 2015 by designer, Cathleen Nicol and based in Grantown in the Scottish Highlands, our brand aesthetic straddles both the contemporary and heritage – the use of high-grade leathers from tanneries with sustainable practises and luxury textiles from Scotland woven with attention to detail, clean lines and subtle branding are all key to our brand ethos.

More than a season
The decision to buy a bag is often made on impulse but in writing this, we want our customers and future customers to be aware of our ethos and process in designing and making C.Nicol bags and our hope that, as a result, our bags will be worn for much more than a season.
Within each C.Nicol bag’s DNA are three key pillars; clean lines, comfort and function but layered with this is what inspires the shapes and colours we choose. Nature, and in particular, the landscapes of the Highlands of Scotland has a huge influence.
